Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has announced that his project, LV Marina, has set aside 5 acres of land towards the construction of social housing units for Kisumu residents under the Affordable Housing Program. President Ruto was in Kisumu to inspect and launch several projects in Kisumu, before proceeding to Homabay. Among these are the inspection of the construction of the Lumumba Estate Affordable Housing in Kisumu Central, which he launched in August 2024. Ruto also graced the LV Marina, where he laid the foundation stone for its Affordable Housing section.
